Mar. 13th, 2024 07:31 pmSo, I managed to borrow the money and am going to have to SERIOUSLY work on finding a better paying job in the meantime so I'm not in this situation. But I am at least good to go for now so I can relax and spend my time as I was meant to.
Watching 2000's BL adjacent anime and writing about the boys from said anime making out.
Work continues to be annoying and I jumped down someone's throat (not a customer) earlier because. . .a coworker came up and was like 'Hey, i'm supposed to take over for you so you can go talk to (supervisor) in the office" and I was like 'Okay.'. So I logged out, turned around to go (while there was a line of people) and he had disappeared. So I was like "okay so I guess I'm not going anywhere." I went back to ringing people out. The manager came by and was like I told you to come to the office.
And I looked at the line and back at him like ????
So he turned around and went "what happened to (coworker)?" wherein this other girl who is driving us all nuts went "oh, I sent him to get another thing of strawberries for this customer". GIRL. That is not yours or his job. That's Imogen's job.
So, another coworker comes up as the coworker who disappeared magically REAPPEARS and the new coworker goes "i'm supposed to take over for you so you can go on break."
Okay. I know that's not it, but it's fine. She doesn't need to know that.
Wherein the one who disappeared said "Oh no. You're not going on break. You're supposed to go to the office."
And I said, "I know that, but you didn't need to tell her."
And the girl was like I AM SO SORRY. And I was like No. It's not you.
So, I started to walk towards where they kind of gestured me. And the lead on desk came over and was like "Where are you going?"
And I just said, "I have NO idea." Cause they'd said "go to the exit" which I was like "there's no office there" but they'd meant like. . .go to where the fire exit sign is. There are offices in there. But that wasn't immediately clear.
And went towards the office. I heard her turn to one of the other managers and said "Did something happen?" before I got into the office.
Anyway, upshot of it was, I'm like 1% lower than what they expect the rate to be for cashiers. And I'm like YOU'RE FUNNY. I worked at Amazon, you can't scare me with that.
I don't care. I can't make the customers move their asses or stop debating if they want to buy a thing.
Also y'all don't pay me enough for my stress level to be this high.
I am off Saturday, and I cannot WAIT oml.
