blackicebobaI've been poking at an 07-Ghost fic off and on for several months. And I've been doing this thing where I feel like. . .I said that in canon I was mad as hell that Ayanami stopped Teito and Hakuren from reuniting and having a genuine conversation about all the bullshit Teito has been dealing with, cause there are so many times where he thought about writing to Hakuren but didn't.
But then Ayanami had to fuck all that up, so I decided to write it myself. But what I really want them to focus on in this fic is. . .Hakuren trying to suss out the nature of Teito's relationship with Frau. And I'm trying to remind myself that it's my fic and I can always do another story later where they actually rehash all the bullshit that's gone on.
So now I'm in the process of changing trajectory in the conversation. Slow going, but we're getting there.
Hakuren shrugged his shoulders, shaking his head a little so his hair wasn’t trapped behind him on the headboard. He wondered idly how Greta had clocked him as being a Bishop’s apprentice when he was dressed as nondescript as he could be. And wondered that he hadn’t thought of that before.
“The position is okay,” Hakuren said, slowly. “It could certainly be worse.”
Teito nodded at this. “Ouka is a good person,” he said. “So when Castor sent us the letter that you had been assigned to her, I was incredibly relieved.”
Hakuren made a soft sigh of acknowledgement at this. He knew that Bishop Frau had been keeping in touch with the rest of the Church because of course he was. Although from what he heard the letters were driving Castor and Labrador to drink, the point was they were keeping in contact. In plain sight, because of course they were supposedly going after assignments for the church.
He wondered how much Bishop Frau put in those letters. Probably not everything if they could be intercepted.
